About Trek
The Alang-Madan-Kulang (AMK) trek is one of the most thrilling and challenging treks in Maharashtra’s Sahyadri range. Known as the “Toughest Trek in Maharashtra,” AMK is not just a test of physical strength but also of mental endurance, courage, and team spirit.
This legendary trek takes you across three mighty forts – Alang, Madan, and Kulang – each with its own unique terrain, rock patches, steep ascents, and breathtaking views. Whether you're rappelling down rock faces, crossing narrow ridgelines, or camping in ancient caves under the stars, AMK delivers an unmatched adventure experience.
Perfect for experienced trekkers and thrill-seekers, the AMK trek is a true badge of honor in the trekking world.
Alang Fort:
Alang Fort is reached via forest and steep rocky climb, featuring ancient caves, water cisterns, and summit views of the Kalsubai range—marking a powerful start to the AMK trek.
Madan Fort:
Madan Fort involves an exposed ledge walk, rock climbing, and rappelling. Caves, cisterns, and views of Alang and Kulang make it the most technical part of the AMK trek.
Kulang Fort:
Kulang, the highest of the three, offers a long ascent through varied terrain and rock-cut steps, leading to vast panoramic views, ancient caves, water tanks, and a scenic descent to base village.
